About Patricia Robinson, CEO:
Graduated from Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital of Emory University School of Nursing in 1968. She worked at Edgefield County Hospital as staff nurse when it opened in January 1972 for 5 years before moving to Columbia. She was called in 1983 to interview for the Director of Nursing position and was excited to be able to again work in the Hospital and with staff she loved and respected. She has worked at Edgefield County Hospital now for over 25 years, first as Director of Nursing in 1983 then added responsibilities as Director of Patient Care Services in 1990. In this capacity she was responsible administratively for all departments providing care and services to patients. In addition she served as Infection Control Practitioner, Risk Manager, and Compliance Officer. In October 2008 she was appointed to the CEO position with the goal of continuing to grow services at the Hospital and support the staff in providing exceptional care to their patients.
