Edgefield County Hospital strives to provide you with prompt, accurate billing. It is most important that full details regarding insurance coverage be given. Please bring your current Medical insurance card or a copy of it. We will file your claim for you, with benefits assigned to the Hospital. Any portion of the bill not covered by insurance is your responsibility. A Business Office Representative can be made available to you to assist with payment arrangements.
At your request, you may obtain a fully itemized statement. Periodically you will receive notification from us regarding the status of your outstanding insurance claim. Accounts with patient responsibility balances will receive a monthly statement until the account is paid in full.
We offer a variety of payment plans if you are unable to pay for your services in full. In addition to your medical insurance coverage, we accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard.
We offer a Charity Care Program for patients needing financial assistance with their bill. If qualified, patients may have all or a portion of their bill adjusted. For financial assistance, please dial 637-1154.
Your Medicare card must be presented at time of Registration to confirm your benefits. At the time of your registration, the Registrar is required by law to ask several questions from the Medicare Secondary Payer form that will aid us in properly filing your claim to Medicare.
